Metal Sorter - Day Shift

Located in Tualatin, OR

Salary: $18/hr.

A client of ours in Tualatin is looking to add a Metal Sorter to their team. If you have experience with forklifts and are good with computers, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! While experience is preferred, we are willing to train.

This is an evaluation to full-time hire position.

Duties:

• Operate forklifts/front-end loaders for material handling.
• Load/unload designated trucks and trailers.
• Procure materials at competitive prices while meeting quality, quantity, and specification standards.
• Record data in the computer system for purchases and sales.
• Ensure commodities are free of contaminants.
• Notify supervisors and maintenance of equipment issues.
• Assist customers in the public depot and buyback area as necessary.
• Conduct daily site inspections for safety, cleanliness, and organization.
• Be open to other assigned duties as directed by management.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Proficient in multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
• Maintains composure under stress.
• Knowledgeable in safe equipment operation, including forklift and front-end loader.
• Works in an outdoor/warehouse environment with some repetitive mechanical tasks.
• Frequent lifting, computer use, pushing, pulling, walking, climbing, standing, kneeling, twisting, and requires good vision, hearing, and communication.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $18/hr.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am to 4pm
