Assembly Operator: Entry Level

Located in Lake Oswego, OR

Salary: $16.75

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembly and Packaging Technician to join our team. This role involves assembling parts and components into complete units or sub-assemblies, and packaging finished products according to production deadlines and sales goals. The successful candidate will work under the close supervision of the Assembly Department Lead and must be able to handle repetitive tasks with a high level of precision.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly Duties:

• Assemble assigned product parts on the assembly line following production guidelines.
• Adhere to detailed assembly instructions, processes, and procedures.
• Operate the laser machine as needed under close supervision.
• Follow established company policies, with a strong focus on safety regulations and quality control standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient manufacturing functions.
• Read work orders and prioritize tasks to meet production schedules.
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as per training guidelines and company policies.

Packaging Duties:

• Verify and pack contents, selecting appropriate container types and sizes according to instructions.
• Use suitable packing materials to prevent damage, and apply shipping labels or identification data.
• Keep accurate counts of packaged products.
• Ensure correct packaging and labeling according to production priorities.
• Inspect products for quality standards and report any issues with quality, processes, defects, equipment, or materials.

Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills, and Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• No prior experience necessary-training will be provided.
• Ability to read and understand work orders.
• Capability to handle repetitive and routine tasks effectively.
• Basic computer skills required for printing labels.
• Good communication skills in English (written and oral) preferred.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• Correctable vision and hearing required.
• Ability to navigate a 20,000 square foot facility.
• Light physical effort needed to frequently lift or move lightweight parts and materials.
• Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 40 pounds.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.
• Manual dexterity required for handling and assembling parts.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively in a team.
• Sound judgment and common sense to follow written or oral instructions.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM- 3:30PM
